Making Money from e-Commerce - Part 2 Creating your own mobile phone shop for free Have you ever wanted to set up your own e-commerce site but don't have the funds to start one up? In this series of articles you will find out to create your own sites for little or no cost and start earning money. The previous article showed you how to create a dating site and future articles will show you how to earn money by reselling mobile content such as ringtones and java games. This article deals with setting up a site to sell mobile phones, accessories and mobile phone insurance. 2u.co.uk is a site run by UK mobile phone retailer Mobile Phone World Ltd. It sells 2G and 3G mobile phones, mobile phone accessories, mobile phone insurance, phone unlocking and ADSL broadband. They run an affiliate scheme that gives affiliates their own ready made mobile phone shop, which is identical to their main site. The site comes with its own subdomain, such as yoursite.2u.co.uk. The 2u.co.uk was chosen as it avoids giving the subdomain a long URL. In order to market your site, 2u.co.uk recommend creating one or more feeder sites with their own domain names which you can optimise for search engines such as Google (the 2u.co.uk site is php based and cannot be optimised). They recommend downloading the source HTML from your 2u.co.uk domain and using that as the basis for your other sites. ADSL Broadband is an extra product that you can resell, although adding this option to your site requires you to pay a fee to 2u.co.uk. As an affiliate of 2u.co.uk you have access to the affiliate training centre which gives advice on marketing your site, setting up feeder sites and optimising your site for search engines. You also get access to 3 e-books on e-mail and internet marketing. Affiliates of 2u.co.uk are encouraged to sign up sub-affiliates though their site.
