Here's some background on the new Amazon.co.uk powered shop section.

The old version of the site had some shop pages, mostly provided by Tradedoubler or Amazon.co.uk. Many of the Tradedoubler ones have become obsolete over the last 2 years, with programmes closing or replacing the content units with newer technology.

As part of the new look site, an Amazon.co.uk Ashop has been implemented, selling books, software and electronic gadgets.

Its a leap forward compared to the old iframe based pages of old as it now incorporates a customisable colour scheme, a search feature and shopping basket, all from within your branded page. It can even be deployed as an iframe within your site.

Visit the shop section to see the Ashop in action.
